Forests of the World

Forests are one of the most difficult subjects to photograph in the natural world. Unsurprisingly, the complex shapes and lines make it hard for an unskilled eye to identify strong compositions. The ever-changing light, filtered through leaves and branches, is not an easy game to anticipate, while seasonal chromatic variations sometimes add a very challenging dimension. I always find spending time in a forest to be refreshing and memorable, but doing justice to that moment and capturing a powerful image is a whole different story. This project is about my journeys around the world to discover the diversity of forests and bring home little parts of them as images.
